Unbeknownst to Castro's regime, Ariel devised one of the first home made satellite dishes in Cuba that allowed him to watch forbidden television that was meant only for tourists visiting the island. Using a coffee can, parts from an old Soviet radio, a mosquito net and other improvised materials. All of a sudden, he and glimpsed the outside World that was a sharp contrast to the image portrayed by the Cuban government while building a profitable and fast growing business.
