Auto shows are definitely breathtaking for the child and the car enthusiast in all of us. I love seeing all the shiny new cars and concepts from all the different manufacturers. From hard-working trucks to space-age concepts with gesture controls and pupil tracking, it’s easy to get lost in a sea of functions and features.

Over the past few weeks we’ve gotten to experience the Detroit and Chicago auto shows. The first, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) better known in the world outside automotive press as “The Detroit Auto Show” since it’s celebrated in the heart of America’s motor city. We arrived in Detroit to a showdown of American muscle cars, trucks and cool concepts.

Chicago is totally different, a different pace, ambiance and of course… weather. This show is more about the special editions and collector’s cars but it is also novel in that it features several indoor tracks since the weather outside doesn’t cooperate at this time of the year.

Auto shows are hard work for us since we have to go to the press conferences, stay on top of all the new announcements and do a lot of late-night work to be ready for our morning shows but we are happy to do what we love and inform our audience about the latest autos, concepts, and tech trends. Up next…the New York Auto Show at the end of March.
